Architecture

RBC sits beneath agent platforms and enforces bounded contexts at runtime, governing effects at the execution boundary, not entry at the perimeter.

The placement principle

Inside production stacks, not at the perimeter.

The execution-boundary flow

Agentic systems can compose across enterprise systems in real time; RBC must operate where actions become effects. The action is intercepted in-path; a single-use, context-bound warrant is issued and must be consumed to execute; invalid acts fail closed; authority events are recorded deterministically.

Integration language

RBC is a governance infrastructure for automated agency, control plane beneath agent platforms. This is a control plane for bounded machine authority, reused wherever regulated autonomy operates.

Where RBC sits in the stack

RBC operates beneath agent platforms as an enforcement layer governing external effects.

Existing systems continue to perform their roles:

• IAM systems authenticate identities
• GRC systems define policy and governance frameworks
• Workflow systems coordinate processes

RBC evaluates whether an autonomous action is authorized at the moment of execution.
